Experimental Procedures

  1. Use the projectile motion simulation above or click here to access its website.
  2. Select the "Lab" portion of the simulation. (We will use the default settings for this experiment.)
  3. Raise the platform (where the cannon rests) to some height above the ground (do not change this height for the rest of the experiment).
  4. Set the cannon’s angle to 0° and the initial speed to 12 m/s, fire the cannon (adjusting the angle as needed) to collect data and fill out the table:
